Beginner Classes

What to Expect

If you've never tried pole dancing, we have Taster Classes and Beginner Courses just for you!

  • We understand that trying pole dancing may be something exciting to try but you might be unsure what to expect.

  • Most of our students have said before going to their first class, they were a bit nervous. But then most of them have said that being greeted and taught in a caring and fun way made them realise just how glad they were to come along and try it out. They were also relieved to see that the other ladies came from all walks of life and were all shapes and ages.

  • If you take the step to book with us, what you can expect at the first lesson is to walk in and have a lovely welcome. Then we will settle you in and get you ready with a warm up. Your instructor will demonstrate each move for you and then you can try the move demonstrated whilst the instructor moves around the room to give help and support.

  • On the course, the classes are one hour long and are held weekly at the same time and day each week.  You will have plenty of time to practice everything you are taught, with help from your instructors and by the end of your first lesson you will have learnt some spins and other moves, which you will continue to practice throughout the course, as well as learning new things each week.

  • As you progress you will learn more spins and other moves, and by the end of the course you will have learnt a routine, gain a certificate for all your hard work and progress on to Level 2!

  • At the end of the course, you may prefer to spend more time on the beginner level to polish what you have learnt.  Your instructor is always approachable and happy to discuss this option with you and help you find a class where you're comfortable, yet challenged.

What to wear and preparing for the class

It is best to wear shorts and a short sleeve top. You can bring heels or dance in bare feet.

Please do not wear any body lotions on pole day and please remove jewellery before using the poles.

Further Questions

Please do not hesitate to Contact us if you want to find out more about our classes and we will be more than happy to help.

I have been attending pole for around 10 months now, starting and continuing with private lessons to then join a class alongside this. From day one, the pole studio was the most welcoming and warming community, inclusive or all shapes, sizes and abilities. I was addicted in an instant and have never looked back! Yve and her fantastic team of instructors have helped me along the way with my wonderful pole journey. They constantly inspire, encourage, and believe in their students abilities- and- of course make pole the fun, amazing, addictive hobby it is! Pole has empowered and helped me gain body confidence, and instilled the belief in myself that I am strong, capable and that nothing is impossible!- Kayleigh M
